LIGHTWELL HOTEL & SPA
Hood River Woodworks was honored to provide custom cabinetry and millwork for the restoration of Lightwell Hotel & Spa, a historic landmark in the heart of downtown Hood River. Reopened in Winter 2025, the hotel represents the thoughtful revival of a building originally constructed as the Waucoma Hotel in 1904, later known as Hotel Oregon beginning in 1910.
This locally led restoration project preserved the building’s historic character while reimagining its interiors for modern travelers and the Hood River community. Our role focused on crafting bespoke cabinetry that complements the original architecture while introducing clean lines, timeless materials, and functional durability suited for a luxury hospitality setting.
Each element was designed and built with longevity in mind—balancing historic sensitivity with contemporary design. From material selection to finish details, our work reflects a commitment to precision craftsmanship, architectural harmony, and lasting quality.
Lightwell Hotel & Spa is a project decades in the making and a meaningful addition to downtown Hood River. We’re proud to have contributed custom woodwork to a space that honors the past while welcoming the future—serving both visitors and locals alike.
